- Just why does the sword wielding Sulu become Capt of the excalibur and the Russian guy become commander-in-chief of the federation? I mean they broke as many rules as anyone else!
- "Kirk got results but really wasn't upper management material. Spock wasn't interested, McCoy and Scotty were neither interested nor qualified. S & C had command experience and were a bit less obviously loose cannons."

- "I'm old enough to remember when the original series debuted on network TV. There was not much SF on the air then. Some episodes show their age, but others still hold up."
