Our monthly mid-week meetings traditionally start off at Galaxy Bookshop, York St, Sydney, at 6.30pm.

By 6.50pm, we have usually moved off to the Old Vienna Coffee House, on Gallery One (Albert Walk) of the nearby Queen Victoria Building - upstairs, and at the Monorail track end (opposite end to the statues of Queen Victoria and her dog). The coffee shop staff know us quite well now, are happy to move furniture to suit our number of attendees who have RSVPed and you may order just drinks, or a full meal.

Don't be shy! We would really love to see you. If you can't make it to Galaxy, just come straight to the coffee shop. There are lots of people in the group who've never turned up to a meeting. Please make sure you've introduced yourself in your Meetup profile page, and added a pic.

If you can't make it to mid-week meetings, please do recommend your more suitable days, times and venues for some weekend gatherings.

Are you interested in seeing the Star Trek movie as a group the week earlier?

Who attended?

  • 6 attendees
    •  Great night as always. Yummy pie at the cafe was a bonus.
    •  Fun doing a Star Trek movie post mortem discussion while not breaking SPOILERS for Tom!
    •  Yep fun night indeed. I think there was concern that the Star Trek movement was dying out after the TV eps stopped, so JJ's movie certainly injected new interest and not just the hardened fans. We should see a new gen of trekkies.
